16th Conference of Heads of State of CEMAC in Bangui on 9 and 10 September 2025
Faustin-Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic, welcomed his counterparts, including President Denis Sassou Nguesso, to the 16th Conference of Heads of State of the CEMAC, held in Bangui on 9 and 10 September 2025.
The five Heads of State from Chad, Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and the Republic of Congo held their extraordinary session of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) in Bangui.
This summit comes at a time when CEMAC countries are seeking to streamline their economic and security cooperation and maintain a high level of brotherhood in a complex international context.
At the close of the summit, Central African President Faustin-Archange Touadéra passed the torch to President Denis Sassou-Nguesso as head of the organization for the next two years.
