The President on a working visit to Pointe-Noire and Kouilou - 16 and 17 November

Arriving in Pointe-Noire in the late afternoon, the Head of State began a two-day working visit to Pointe-Noire and the Kouilou department. He was welcomed by local authorities and warmly greeted by a large crowd gathered along the route from the airport to his seaside residence. Part of the journey was made in an open-top car, allowing the presidential motorcade to interact with the people of Pointe-Noire. The two-day program included several inaugurations, including the National Institute of Biology and the Wing Wah Exploration and Production SAU associated gas recovery plant, which will make the country's energy resources more profitable.

On the second day, 18 November, the President visited the Catholic University construction site and then Loango Bay, where construction of a slavery memorial museum began a few months ago on the very spot where several million slaves were shipped to the Americas. This ambitious site, both in form and content, is expected to be inaugurated within 18 months.
