The President launched on April 25, 2023, in Ngoyo near Pointe-Noire, the construction of a liquefied natural gas processing plant, synergy of skills between the Republic of Congo and the Italian oil company Eni.
The project includes the installation of two floating natural gas liquefaction plants (FLNG). Within three years, it is expected to produce 3 million tons per year, which will strengthen Congo's energy sovereignty.
